Nancy is anything but fancy. 😽

She has been drawn to books and reading since gifted her favorite childhood book, Caroline at the Ranch by Pierre Probst. As an avid reader navigating life with dyslexia has had its challenges. Ah, but books offered places to explore in solitude. Nancy’s love of animals, critters, reptiles…all of them. You will be sure to find one or more making appearances in her picture books, or adult cozy mystery series (coming soon).

Ah, the arts. Being creative and finding every avenue to express herself, she takes each step with delight! Drawing, writing, reading (not ‘rithmatic) have always been a huge part of her creative life. Since the power of spell check, Nancy has a newfound confidence in showing her written work. It wasn’t until her thirties she learned she had dyslexia. She credits a Statistics professor with the initial discovery. Thus, explaining a lifetime of struggles with math and anything having to do with numbers, transposing them as well as letters. Reading was not a problem, but writing was another story, flipping letters lead to poor spelling skills and secretly writing in journals.

In the enchanted world of writing, Nancy has published two children’s books Ralphie Moss’s Garden, which launched November 2023. A story about growing friendships. Her second picture book, Tap Tap Tappity Tap launched January 2026. It is about a shy girl named Connie who learns to share her voice with the world. Nancy has, in the works, a picture book series about her beloved, entertaining cats, Dr. Tillie Ween and Professor Wynx and their fantastically feline antics. There are more books to come!

Nancy has written a three book adult cozy mystery series, For the Love of Banter Jones, looking to launch in 2026. Other writing accomplishments include a screenplay, a holiday rom-com, Christmas Collision, available on multiple streaming platforms. Other screenplays, in pre-production, Against the Odds, A Term of Endearment, and Baked Alaska.

Nancy has a favorite everything: Coin - Mercury silver dime. Fossil - brachiopod. Color - Prussian blue. Ice Cream - Salted Caramel. Clothes - blue jeans/overalls. Grass - Kentucky BlueGrass. The list is fun and never ending.

At the end of a busy day or week, Nancy enjoys visiting restaurants and listening to her husband and friends play blues music, an ideal way to unwind. However, while enjoying delish food and great music she enjoys a good book. P.S. she never hesitates to seek out the ultimate piece of chocolate cake!😋
