First and foremost, Nancy is anything but fancy.
Secondly, Nancy has been an avid reader for as long as she can remember. Navigating life with dyslexia has had its challenges. Ah, but books offered places to explore in solitude.
Thirdly, she loves animals, critters, reptiles…all of them.
Now, about the arts. Being creative and finding every avenue to express herself, is what her life all about! Writing, reading (not ‘rithmatic) have always been a huge part of her creative life. Since the power of spell check, Nancy has a newfound confidence in showing her written work. In her thirties, she discovered she had dyslexia. Thus, explaining a lifetime of struggles with math. Transposing numbers was bad, letters, not so much. Reading was not a problem, but writing was another story. Flip flopping letters lead to poor spelling skills and secretly writing in journals. Nancy’s favorite childhood book, Caroline at the Ranch, by Pierre Proust, was her invitation to stories and storytelling. It is about a little girl who spent the summer enmeshed with cats, dogs and farm animals on her uncle’s ranch. All those animals for friends were like a dream. As it should be, Nancy found reading was the best way to escape, explore, and learn about the world and herself.
In the enchanted world of writing, Nancy has finished her first children’s book, Ralphie Moss’s Garden, to be launched November 2023. A story about treasuring new and lasting friendships. She has, in the works, a picture book series about her two cats, Dr. Tillie Ween and Professor Wynx and their fantastically feline antics. Keep your eyes open for a third picture book, about a little girl named Connie. There are more books to come!
Nancy has also written an adult cozy mystery scheduled to launch in 2024. Other writing accomplishments include a screenplay, a holiday rom-com, Christmas Collision, currently streaming. Also, Against the Odds and A Term of Endearment in pre-production.

At the end of a busy day or week, Nancy enjoys visiting restaurants and listening to her husband and friends play blues music, an ideal way to unwind. However, while enjoying delish food and great music, she never hesitates to seek out the ultimate piece of chocolate cake!
